Controlled Rotary Union

Controlled Rotary Union

Controlled rotary unions

Nominal size 5, for single/double-acting clamping elements, pmax. 350 bar

Controlled rotary feedthroughs transfer hydraulic oil to rotary indexing tables. The construction is designed as a rotary valve. This allows several hydraulic devices to be supplied with pressurized oil at the same time and a loading and unloading station to be clamped or unclamped independently of this via directional control valves.

The controlled rotating unions may only be operated with hydraulic oil. All levels must be connected to the pressure generator to ensure seal lubrication. Commissioning may only be carried out with the screw connection fitted. Controlled rotating unions should only be used for cyclic operation.

From an operating pressure of approx. 200 bar, we recommend installing a hydraulic accumulator with an accumulator safety device between the non-return valve and connection level A (continuous pressure range). The accumulator has the task of compensating for small leakage oil losses when the pressure is released in the loading and unloading station. It is recommended that only directional seat valves are used to control the rotary joints.
